Project Description
On 24th October, World Polio Day, Rotary Club of Biratnagar, along with Rotary Clubs of Midtown, Downtown, Fusion, and Biratnagar Central, organized a candle lighting ceremony at Rotary Circle, Biratnagar. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness about polio eradication and demonstrate Rotary’s commitment to creating a polio-free world. The program included members from all participating clubs lighting candles together as a symbol of hope and solidarity. The event aimed to educate the local community about the importance of polio vaccination and encourage collective action to support global eradication efforts. The project benefited the local community and club members, reaching an audience of approximately 100 people present at the ceremony, while also inspiring many others through media coverage and social media outreach.
